Watching
The first test, the first time.
I’m watching them work, think, struggle,
knowing I did what I could.
Now it’s their turn to show what they know.
The first test, this time
it’s early in the year. Thank goodness.
Much more to learn this year.
Turn the test in. Sigh of Relief.

You’ve captured the tension and then relief of a job well done. π

Great to be finished, now you can really begin, right?

I know how that feel. I remember giving my students their first in library on references. I had to grade my students during their related arts. I hated grading them. I love the tension you build. PS you can use my poem if it is not too late. Just saw your comments. Thanks for stopping by. π
