IMWAYR: Back-to-Work Week

It’s back-to-work week and back to reading some excellent MG titles so I can share with my students. Last week I finished Fadeaway by E.B. Vickers, which was excellent! I can’t wait for my students (and staff) to experience the drama and suspense of this gripping realistic story of Jake, the star basketball player with a dangerous secret.

Libro.fm: This week I will continue listening to Land of the Cranes and The Plot, since I’ll be in the car again each day.

NetGalley: I started Thanks a Lot, Universe by Chad Lucas today. I think this one will be a hit at school.

Physical Books: I am so lucky to be a reading nerd! My friend, Beth, shared a special title with me, and I’m so excited to start reading It Doesn’t Take a Genius by Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich! In other book mail news, a giveaway I won came on Saturday. Thank you B.B. Alston! I’m happy to share our signed copy of Amari and the Night Brothers with others.

It’s Monday! What are YOU reading?

IMWAYR is a weekly blog hop with kid lit co-hosts Jennifer from Teach Mentor Texts and Kellee and Ricki from Unleashing Readers. The original IMWAYR, with an adult literature focus, was started by Sheila at Book Journeys and is now hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date. It’s a great way to share what you’re reading and get recommendations from others. We encourage you to write your own post sharing what you’re reading, link up, leave a comment, and support other IMWAYR bloggers by visiting and commenting on at least three of the other linked blogs each week.

  1. Two books I’m seeing a lot about, Land of the Cranes & Amari & The Night Brothers – someday! Thanks, Jennifer

  2. What a great set of books! Fadeaway sounds intriguing, and I’m hoping to get a copy of Thanks a Lot, Universe when it comes out! I’ve also seen a lot of praise for Amari and the Night Brothers and It Doesn’t Take a Genius. Thanks so much for the great post!
